Dashboard
An interactive, visual interface that consolidates, tracks, and displays key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and data points at a glance. dashboard acts as a central control panel, transforming raw data into visual narratives (charts, graphs) to facilitate data-driven decision-making, performance tracking, and actionable insights in real-time.
Project
Kitui County Government Project refers to a structured initiative or activity (ies) undertaken by a Government to achieve specific objectives with defined constraints such as time, budget and scope. These projects are typically designed to implement policies, deliver public services or develop infrastructure that benefits citizens. The purpose of such project(s) is to bring about strategic change and improve governance, public welfare or economic development.
Infrastructure project
In the context of Kitui County Government an infrastructure project refers to any government-funded or supported physical development initiative that involves the construction, rehabilitation, or improvement of tangible public assets such as health facilities (e.g., dispensaries), educational facilities (e.g., ECD classrooms), and transport networks (e.g., roads), aimed at enhancing service delivery and socio-economic development within the county.This definition clearly distinguishes infrastructure projects from non-physical interventions (such as training programs or policy development) and anchors the term to visible, capital-intensive developments commonly implemented by the County Government.
Stakeholder
Any individual, community, group, institution, or entity with a direct or indirect interest in a County project, including those who influence, are impacted by, or have a role in its planning, implementation, or outcomes.
Budget Allocation
The approved distribution of financial resources within the County’s annual or supplementary budget, assigned to specific projects, programs, or departments in line with policy priorities and development plans.
Completion Rate
A performance indicator that measures the proportion of project activities or deliverables completed against the total planned scope, expressed as a percentage to reflect implementation progress.
Milestone
A predefined and significant stage in the project lifecycle used to assess progress, validate key deliverables, and guide decision-making during implementation.
FY (Financial Year)
The official 12-month accounting and reporting period used by the County Government for budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting, running from 1st July to 30th June.
Ward
The smallest political and administrative unit within Kitui County, represented by an elected Member of County Assembly (MCA), serving as a key level for planning, service delivery, and community engagement.
Sub-County
An administrative unit within Kitui County comprising several wards, established to facilitate decentralized governance, coordination of County functions, and effective service delivery.
Procurement
